Chapter 7: "MEETINGS AND MEMORIES"
-------------------

The sun began to rise as a new day began. The whole Spirit World was quiet. Of course, things went the other way around here unlike in the human world where things come to life during the day. In this world, spirits would already be fast asleep by now. Well, that's the schedule for most spirits, that is. Things are a bit different with a certain river spirit.

Haku's  closed eyes twitched slightly as he sensed that it was morning. A small smile crept up on his face as he felt something warm against his body. He didn't know what, but it felt good. He felt so comfortable and cozy. He decided to roll on his side, only to be blocked by something.

Haku slowly opened his green eyes, only to be shocked as he came face to face with a sleeping Chihiro. He was purely shocked and confused for split second, making him appear stunned, but started to remember everything from the previous night.

"I can't believe I actually thought it was all just a dream."he mentally told himself.

Haku then realized that they were a bit too close to each other. He didn't mind at all, but he wasn't exactly sure if Chihiro would like the fact that they were that close together with their bodies touching. Haku sighed and moved a bit to his side, feeling a bit sad from the loss of the warm body against his. Suddenly, Chihiro began to mutter and shift around in her sleep. Haku's eyes went wide when Chihiro snuggled back against him closer than she had before.

"Mmm…" she said as she nuzzled Haku. A slight blush appeared on the boy's pale cheeks. He shifted his position again, but this time, instead of moving away, he moved closer and wrapped an arm around Chihiro, who eagerly snuggled up to his chest even closer.

"She must be feeling cold." Haku told himself. That was not really what Haku was thinking, but he decided to push the thought away and looked for a more reasonable explanation.

"It could also be because she likes you." a part of him told him. He cringed at the thought and started to debate with his own mind.

"No, Haku. She's just cold. That's it." he thought to himself. He sighed, feeling confused about his own feelings. Why was he even feeling like this? He had no idea.

The two stayed that way for another whole hour. The whole time, Haku just lay there, watching Chihiro sleep peacefully as he held her in his arms lovingly. He then decided to wake her up. Besides, the best time to take her out was while all the others are still sleeping. If everyone was awake, it would be a bit difficult to spend some quality time with her. He began to gently push the stray locks of brown hair away from Chihiro's face.

"Chihiro. Chihiro, wake up." He whispered softly in her ear. After a moment, Chihiro's eyes began to flutter open and her brown eyes met Haku's green ones.

"Good morning, Chihiro." Haku said, smiling.

"Hmm… Good morning, Haku…" she replied, her eyes beginning to close again as she took a deep breath. It took a minute for her to snap back into reality, but as soon as she did, her eyes grew wide.

"H-Haku??" she said, not believing her eyes. She could have sworn she had just dreamt of him.  Haku merely smiled.

"I had the same reaction. I thought it was all just a dream." Haku said. Just as Chihiro was beginning to calm down, she realized the position she and Haku were in.

"Oh! I-I-I'm sorry!" she said and quickly scooted back to her side of the bed. Her face turned red with embarrassment.

"It's alright, Chihiro. You were probably just cold." Haku said calmly, trying not to make his friend panic.

"Y-yeah, I was feeling cold a-and I thought… I thought you were a pillow!" she blurted out her explanation, but regretted what she said, realizing that what she had said sounded really stupid.

"A pillow?! Really, Chihiro?!" Haku said in disbelief, but he was laughing. Chihiro smiled, realizing that Haku found it amusing. So, she decided to let him play along and she put on a mischievous grin.

"You're soft" she shrugged playfully.

"Is that your way of saying I'm fat?" Haku said, raising an eyebrow. A slight smirk played on his thin lips.

"Hmm… Maybe?" Chihiro teased.

"Oh, is that so?" Haku said, his eyebrow still raised.

"Yep. Now that I think of it, you don't just feel like a pillow. You look so much like a pillow, you could pass of as one." Chihiro teased again.

"Oh, that's it!" Haku said and pounced at Chihiro who let out a high pitched squeal of surprise.

"Can your pillow do this?" Haku said as he half-mercilessly tickled Chihiro who was giggling and laughing loudly. She began squirming and flailing desperately. If there was one thing that was her weakness, it was being tickled.

"Eek! Haku, no! I'm ticklish!" she laughed. Haku on the other hand, was not yet done with his torture on the human.

"I am merely proving to you that I am not a pillow." he said, grinning evilly.

"I take it back! Just stop, please! Alright, I'm sorry!" she said, squirming around even more. Her giggles made Haku feel all happy inside.

"Aww, but don't you think this is fun?" Haku said, teasingly.

"Hakuuuuu!" Chihiro said, pouting adorably.

"Am I still a pillow?" Haku asked, raising an eyebrow, slowing down his tickle-attack.

"No, you're not!" Chihiro panted, out of breath from all the laughing. Haku finally decided to stop his attack and start soothing his friend until she could breath properly again.

"That," Chihiro said, poking  Haku's side. "was not fair."

"What? How is that unfair?" Haku said, raising a thin eyebrow again.

"You tickled me! That's my weakness! And I don't even know YOUR weakness!" Chihiro whined, gently smacking Haku's arm.

"I don't have a weakness." Haku joked.

"Of course, you do! And I'm gonna find out even if it's the last thing I do!" Chihiro declared proudly.

"Suit yourself, sweetie." Haku blurted out, mentally slapping himself for the last word. Chihiro on the other hand, blushed a deep shade of red.

Suddenly, a weird expression spread across Haku's face. He looked as if he was concentration deeply on something. He looked a bit disoriented.

"Haku?" Chihiro said.

"I'm back to normal again." Haku muttered to himself.

"What do you mean?" Chihiro asked curiously. However, Haku seemed to have spaced out.

"Hey, Haku!" she said, waving a hand in front of his face making him snap out of it.

"Huh, what?" he said, looking around as if surprised and confused at the same time. Chihiro couldn't help but laugh at how Haku's confusion made him look adorable.

"What's up with you?" she said.

"Umm…Nothing." Haku said simply. Chihiro just laughed lightly. Haku hadn't mentioned to her the thing about having to use the seal to open the gate to the Spririt World. He decided it would be best no to tell. However, he knew the magic had worn off.

"Would you like to go visit Kamajii?" Haku said. Chihiro smiled brightly at him.

"Sure!" she said happily.

"Okay, then. You go change in the bathroom. I'll change here. Then we can go down, alright?" He said.

"Alright!" Chihiro said as she took her day-robes and skipped off to the bathroom. Haku smiled at how enthusiastic she was. He just shook his head, laughing softly as he began to change into his daytime clothing.

(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)

Chihiro and Haku crept around the bathhouse quietly as they made their way to the boiler room. Chihiro recalled the time when she went out early in the morning to meet Haku at the bridge ten years ago. That was the day she had confirmed that Haku was indeed her friend. She would never forget how Haku had helped her.

"Ladies first." Haku said as he slid open the small door to the boiler room and gestured for Chihiro to go in first. Chihiro smiled and stepped through the entrance. She was immediately followed by Haku.

"Come on, let's wake him up. He will be really pleased to see you." Haku said as he walked over to the sleeping Kamajii.

"Kamajii. Kamajii, wake up." Haku said. Soon enough, the old spirit woke up and looked at Haku.

"Good morning, my boy." He greeted and Haku nodded.

"There is someone here for you." Haku said as he gestured for Chihiro to come closer.

"It's good to see you again, Kamajii." She said smiling.

"Eh? I don't mean to be rude, but who are you again?" Kamajii said as he scratched his head in confusion.

"Kamajii, surely you remember Chihiro, right?" Haku said, smiling slightly.

"Chihiro? Now, why does that name ring a bell? I know you mentioned that name some time ago… Darn it, I just can't remember!" the old spirit said. Chihiro just laughed.

"Kamajii, it's me! Sen!" she said, knowing that Kamajii might recognize her old name.

"Sen? Oh! Goodness gracious! Sen, is that really you?!" Kamajii said, clearly shocked. Chihiro smiled brightly and nodded. Upon hearing the name, the little soot balls came out and started squeaking and bouncing happily. Chihiro turned to wave to them.

"I say! You've grown into a very fine young lady!"Kamajii said.

"Thank you" Chihiro smiled.

"So, how have you been, Sen?" the old spirit asked.

"Chihiro." Haku corrected again.

"Of course, of course! Silly me! So, Chihiro how have you been?" the boiler man asked.

"Things have been going well for me, I guess. Well, since I got here, at least. How about you?" She said happily.

"Ah, same old stuff here, ya know? The soot balls really missed you!" Kamajii chuckled.

The three stayed in the boiler room with Kamajii and the soot sprites for about another hour. They just talked to each other to make up for lost time. After that, Chihiro and Haku said their goodbyes and left. It was still very early in the morning and people were still asleep. To the workers, that's one advantage they have had since Haku became in charge. They had longer hours of sleep now than back then when Yubaba ruled the place. Right now, it also comes as an advantage to Haku himself because it gives him more time to spend with Chihiro.

"I still can't believe I'm really here again, Haku…" Chihiro said as they sat down on the grass, leaning against the wall of flowers. This was where Haku had first showed his sweet and caring side to Chihiro when she broke down in tears at that very spot ten years ago.

"I can't believe it, either. I thought I would never see you here again." Haku said.

"I thought so, too. That reminds me… How did you open the gate to this world?" Chihiro said, turning to look at Haku beside her.

"Hmm, long story that I would rather not say." Haku said calmly.

"Why don't you want to tell me?" Chihiro asked curiously.

"Like I have said, it's a long story. It wasn't easy, but what matters is that you are her now." He said, smiling softly.

"Yeah, you're right." Chihiro smiled.

"So, for how long are you staying?" Haku said.

"Well… I don't really know. I mean, my parents think I'm staying with a friend's house, so they will be expecting me to be home in a few days." Chihiro said sadly.

"Oh." Haku said. He didn't know what else to say. He didn't want her to leave.

"Haku, can I tell you something?" Chihiro said, he face was sad.

"Of course, Chihiro. What is it?" Haku said softly, noticing the sadness in his friend's voice.

"I… I actually… regret leaving this place ten years ago..." Chihiro said. Haku blinked in confusion.

"Chihiro, what are you trying to say?" Haku said.

"What I'm trying to say is that I… If I had the means to stay here, I would." Chihiro said, sighing.

"Why? Don't you like it in your world?" Haku asked. He was really confused now.

"I like it here. In my world, I'm never really happy." Chihiro said. This was the first time she had ever made a confession about her feelings.

"How come?" Haku asked again. He was getting really curious  and concerned at the same time. "How come Chihiro never mentioned this to me before?" he thought.

"I don't know. I don't feel…complete in my world…" Chihiro said. "That is how I feel without you."Haku thought.

"Why didn't you tell me about this before, Chihiro?" he asked.

"I guess I just forgot." She shrugged softly. "The truth is that I never thought of mentioning it before because I felt complete when I was with you." she thought.

"I wish there was some way I could help you, Chihiro." Haku said, wrapping an arm around Chihiro's shoulders.

"You've helped me enough, Haku. You've helped me in so many ways already." She said, smiling at Haku who smiled back.

The two sat in silence for a moment. Both were thinking about different things. One was thinking of how to help the other while one was plainly thinking about the other.

"Chihiro?" Haku started.

"Hmm?" Chihiro turned to him.

"What would you like to do today?" Haku said, cancelling what he really wanted to ask.

"Umm… I don't really know. Don't you have anything to do? I mean, I don't want to mess up your schedule or anything." Chihiro said. Haku merely chuckled.

"My time is for you alone, Chihiro. We shall do whatever you please." Haku said, smiling. Chihiro on the other hand, began to feel a bit shy.

"Oh, umm… Okay, then." She blushed, feeling a bit spoiled by Haku, but did not protest to his special treatment.

"What would you like to do? Are you hungry?" Haku asked thoughtfully. 'Some would probably be awake by now.' he thought.

"Yeah, a bit." Chihiro said, shyly.

"Very well. Come now. Let's go back." He said as he stood up and helped Chihiro up.

As the two started walking hand in hand back to the bathhouse, Chihiro suddenly remembered something. She hadn't asked Haku about how Zeniba and No-Face were doing.

"Hey, Haku?" she said, looking up at him as they walked.

"Yes?" he said.

"Umm… Can we-uh… You know…" Chihiro tried to choose her words carefully. She didn't really know if Haku and Zeniba turned out okay after her last visit there.

"What is it, Chihiro?" Haku said.

"Can we… Can we go to Granny's sometime?" she finally said.

"To Zeniba?" Haku confirmed.

"Yes, but you don't have to be there. I mean, umm… I mean, like, you can just take me there only if you will and… umm…" Chihiro said, not knowing how to explain. Haku on the other hand, knew what she meant.

"Chihiro, it's alright. I'll come with you to Zeniba's. I'll take you there, alright?" he smiled.

"Umm… Are you two okay now?" Chhihiro asked hesitantly.

"Of course, we are. I visit there every now and again." Haku explained. Chihiro just nodded, meaning that she understood.

"Would you like me to take you there later today?" Haku asked.

"Yes, please!" Chihiro said enthusiastically. Haku smiled and nodded.

"Very well. We shall leave as soon as possible. It's a long way." Haku said and they continued to walk and they entered the bathhouse.

Once they got in, Chihiro noticed that it was still a bit quiet. She could only hear some footsteps and distant voices. Back when she still worked there, the people would already be up and about by then.

"Where is everyone?" Chihiro said.

"Everyone is probably getting ready for the day. You see, I don't require my workers to be up so early." Haku explained.

"I wish Yubaba was as good as you." Chihiro huffed and made Haku laugh slightly. Just then, a spirit came rushing towards them.

"Good morning, Master Haku! Good morning, Miss Chihiro!" the spirit bowed respectfully. Haku nodded slightly with a smile.

"Do you have any news for me?" Haku said.

"Yes, Master Haku. Master Tatsuhiko is back. He just came in a while ago." The spirit said. Haku nodded.

"Very well. Thank you for the information." Haku said.

"You're welcome, Master Haku!" the spirit bowed once more before heading elsewhere.

"Come, Chihiro. I want you to meet Tatsuhiko " Haku said as he lead Chihiro to an elevator and they went up.

"Who's Tatsuhiko ?" Chihiro asked.

"You will see." Haku smiled. Chihiro nodded.

Once they got to the top floor, the elevator doors opened and the two stepped out. They headed for what used to be Yubaba's office. Of course, it was now Haku's office.

Chihiro noticed that the annoying enchanted door knocker. She remembered when she had first stepped foot near that door. The doorknocker called her 'the most pathetic little girl I've ever seen'. She just snickered at the thought.

The two walked towards the office. Chihiro recalled the last time she had been there in the office. It wasn't exactly such a pleasant memory since that was the time she thought she was going to lose Haku. She merely shuddered at the thought.

Once they were inside, Chihiro noticed that the office was simpler now. It wasn't how she remembered. All the excess, unnecessary things were gone, as well as Yubaba's possessions. The green heads were no longer there, too.  Haku walked near his desk and pulled on something that caused some sort of bell to ring. He then walked to his desk to get something.

"What is that for?" Chihiro asked. She remembered Yubaba did that, too. Back then, she didn't know what it was for.

"This is what Yubaba used to call me from my room back then." Haku said. A few minutes later, a young boy came in.

"You called for me?" he said.

The young spirit looked about the age of 13. He also looked very much like a young Haku except he had black jet black hair and violet eyes. His skin was just as pale as Haku's. He was wearing clothes much similar to Haku's, but the top robe was black unlike Haku's white ones and underneath it, he was wearing red. Chihiro could tell because just like Haku's top robe, this one also had slits near the shoulders and sides that showed the color of the clothing underneath. The sash tied around the boy's waist was grey.

"Yes. Forgive me for summoning you so early after your return." Haku said. The spirit merely bowed.

"It is no trouble, Master Haku." He bowed in respect.

"Tatsuhiko, this is Chihiro. Chihiro, this is Tatsuhiko, my assistant." Haku said.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Chihiro." Tatsuhiko bowed again.

"It's nice to meet you, too." Chihiro bowed back, causing the spirit to look at her questioningly.

"Do not bow to me, Miss Chihiro, for I am merely a servant to you." Tatsuhiko said. Chihiro quickly turned to Haku for answers.

"It is alright, Suhiko. Chihiro is your friend, as well. Just treat her with respect, that's all I ask of you. There is no need to be formal to her." Haku said, smiling slightly.

"Of course, Master Haku." Tatsuhiko said.

"Very well, then. Have you eaten, Suhiko?" Haku asked.

"No, Master." The boy replied.

"Would you care to join us?" Haku offered and Tatsuhiko nodded.

"Very well, you are welcome to join us. Afterwards, you may rest as you wish. Come, now." Haku said.

"Thank you, Master Haku." The young spirit bowed once more and followed Haku and Chihiro out of the office.

As the three were now walking through the halls, Chihiro was tempted to ask questions. She was curious as to why Haku never mentioned he had an assistant. She was also curious if Tatsuhiko was related to Haku in any way because they just look so much alike.

"Haku, I didn't know you had an assistant." Chihiro whispered so that Tatsuhiko wouldn't hear as he followed close behind.

"Yes, I forgot to mention to you. He is a very nice boy. You can ask him for anything." Haku said. "Oh, and don't mind him for being formal. That's just the way he is. To him, any friend of mine is his master, as well." Haku added.

"Oh. Is he related to you?" Chihiro asked. Haku merely chuckled.

"No, but he does remind me of myself when I was younger." Haku said.

"I can see that" Chihiro giggled as they made their way to the elevator again to head downstairs.

(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)

When the three got down, spirits were already up and about. Some were cooking; some were cleaning already, some where just on their way to eat. Many spirits greeted them as they passed by.

"Wow, Sen! Looking like a princess!" a familiar voice called.

"Hey, Lin! Oh, and again, it's Chihiro." Chihiro said, smiling.

"Riiiiiiight… Anyway, Se-Chihro, looks like you're being spoiled to death by Haku." Lin winked.

"Lin? Are you forgetting something?" Tatsuhiko said, making Lin roll her eyes.

"Good morning, Master Tatsuhiko. Good morning, Master Haku." Lin said, bowing lazily and her voice full of sarcasm.

"You forgot to greet Miss Chihiro." He said.

"Whaaat?! She's the first one I greeted, you idiot!" Lin protested. It was obvious the two didn't get along.

"Excuse me?" Tatsuhiko said, raising an eyebrow.

"I-It's fine, Tatsuhiko! Lin is like a sister to me." Chihiro said, feeling awkward. She decided to but in before Lin heats up and strangles the young spirit.

"Of course, Miss Chihiro." Tatsuhiko said as he backed down, but continued to look at Lin coldly and Lin just glared back.

"I'll catch you later, Se-Chihiro. I'll get back to you when mini-Haku here is gone…" Lin said, still glaring at Tatsuhiko.

"O…kay… See ya later, Lin." Chihiro said and Lin stomped off, clearly annoyed with Tatsuhiko. She just shrugged and the three of them headed for the kitchen.

(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)

The three were now eating together in a room that was very familiar to Chihiro. It was the room that No-Face had trashed back then. Chihiro could remember how hard Yubaba tried to make No-Face calm down. It was a bit terrifying back then, but now, she just laughs when she remembers that time.

Chihiro noticed that Tatsuhiko was really quiet. She observed him as she ate. He really looked like a 13 year old Haku.  She began to get curious about him. If she hadn't known better, she would think he was Haku's brother.

"Uh, Tatsuhiko?" she started.

"Please. You may call me Suhiko." He said.

"Oh, okay. Well, Suhiko, can I ask you something?" she said.

"Of course, Miss Chihiro." Suhiko said.

"Chihiro would be fine." She said and the spirit nodded.

"Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, what are you?" she asked. Suhiko looked at her questioningly.

"What do you mean, Chihiro?" Suhiko said.

"I mean, what are you in alternative? You do have an alternative form, don't you?" she said. Suhiko smiled ever so slightly.

"I'm a dragon." He said simply.

"Oh, so you're like Haku?" she said and he nodded.

"My name Tatsuhiko means 'Dragon Boy'." He explained.

"Oh, okay. Is that your real name or…"she hesitated. 'Haku couldn't have taken his name, right?' she thought.

"Well, no. I don't remember my real name." he said.

Chihiro's eyes widened in shock. Did that mean Haku took his name? That's not true, right? She couldn't believe what she had just heard. Haku on the other hand, didn't notice her shock, so Chihiro turned to him. Haku merely raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Haku? You…Did you…" she tried to get her words out. Suhiko noticed that she was jumping to the wrong conclusions.

"Oh, no, Chihiro. Forgive me, I did not make myself clear." He said. Chihiro turned to him looking for explanation.

"Master Haku did not take my name." he said. Haku then realized the situation.

"Oh, sorry!" Chihiro quickly said to Haku who just waved a hand telling her it's okay.

"It's alright, Chihiro. You did not offend me." Haku smiled reassuringly.

"Master Haku found me nine years ago." He explained. 'A year after I left.' Chihiro thought.

"I don't remember what happened to me. All I remember is being in darkness. Then, I heard a voice much similar to mine. I woke up and Master Haku was there and he was asking me if I was alright. When I first saw him, I thought it was all just a trick. He looked almost exactly like me, except I could sense that his soul was a lot older than my own." He said. Chihiro listened intently to his story.

"He convinced me that it was no trick and he said he only wanted to help. So, I let him help me. I told him I couldn't remember who I was or anything about my past. So, he offered me a place to stay until I got my memories back. However, they never came back to me." He said.

"I'm so sorry…" Chihiro said, feeling truly sorry for the boy.

"It's alright. Anyway, for years, Master Haku took care of me and at the same time, trained me and taught me magic that I never knew of. He also helped me choose a new name. I learned to have trust in him and later, he offered me the position of being his apprentice. I willingly took the job after all that he has done for me. I owe my life to Master Haku." He said and turned to smile slightly to his master.

"I see… I'm really sorry, though. I hope you get your memories back." Chihiro said. Suhiko smiled at her slightly and nodded.
The three continued to have their small talk. Chihiro continued to ask Suhiko about himself. Little did she know that Suhiko found her attitude highly amusing.

"You truly are a Chihiro." He said, smiling faintly.

"Huh? What do you mean?" she asked.

"Chihiro means 'a thousand questions'." Haku said, answering the question. Suhiko nodded.

"Oh! Am I being annoying?" Chihiro suddenly asked.

"No, not at all. I actually find it quite amusing. Master Haku told me that you were an interesting person." He said, but Haku made a sound by clearing his throat and raising an eyebrow at Suhiko. He bowed his head apologetically to Haku who nodded, silently saying he is forgiven.

"Forgive me, Chihiro, Master Haku." He said, looking at the two. Little did Chihiro know that the two spirits were mentally communicating through their minds.

"If you will excuse me, I would be heading on now. I haven't slept a wink for days." He said. Haku nodded slightly, silently telling him, 'Excellent, Suhiko. Very convincing.'

"Of course, Suhiko. You may head to your room now. Go rest now." Haku said. Suhiko stood up and bowed respectfully at Haku and Chihiro.

"Shall I call someone to come clean up here, Master Haku?" Suhiko said.

"That would be appreciated, thank you." Haku said and Suhiko nodded.

"Bye, Suhiko!" Chihiro said, waving at the young spirit who merely gave her a slight smile again before leaving.

"He seems nice. He must look up to you as a brother, Haku." Chihiro said.

"Perhaps." Haku said.

Just then, a soft knock was heard before Lin entered the room, surprised to see that it was Haku and Chihiro who was inside. 'That Suhiko… I should have known!' she thought.

"Lin!" Chihiro said happily.

"Umm… Suhiko told me to come clean up for you here." She said awkwardly.

"Very well. Come now, Chihiro. We must leave early if we want to get to Zeniba's in time." Haku said.

"Talk to you later, Lin!" Chihiro said as she smiled brightly and walked out of the room. Just as Haku passed by, Lin grabbed his sleeve to whisper to him.

"Now I see why you were so smiley-faced when I saw you a few days ago." Lin said, winking before letting go of Haku.

"Don't be selfish, alright? You're not the only one who wants to spend time with her." She said, playfully smacking Haku's arm. Haku merely glared at her before leaving the room.

"Let's go." He told Chihiro and they made their way towards the exit.

(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)-(-)

Meanwhile, Suhiko was looking out his window, thinking of what they had talked about earlier. After being Haku's apprentice for such a long time, he hadn't actually cared to think about his part identity anymore. He was happy now. He had a good master, he was free to do whatever he wishes, Haku gave him the freedom to leave the bathhouse whenever he wished, and he had everything he needed. He was already happy. However, his talk with Chihiro brought back his curiosity.

"I wonder… If I had a family, do they miss me?" he said to himself and sighed.

He looked up into the clear sky, wishing he had even just the slightest idea of who he truly was. Just then, he saw Haku in his dragon form fly up into the sky, Chihiro riding his back. He smiled softly. He always knew his master was in love with the human. She was all he ever talked about.

"I hope you will find eternal happiness, Master Haku." He whispered as he watched the two disappear into the clouds.

He yawned and decided that it was time for him to actually sleep. He shut his window and went to his bed. That was one thing he was very grateful Haku had provided him. He felt that Haku really cared for him and he considered his master as his brother. Though, he could never tell him.

"Somewhere in me, I feel like we're related. Oh, well. I'll figure it all out someday." He said to himself before he closed his eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.
